“Ever since a little girl, I would whip my hair up and fix it on top of my head with a pencil.”
Having worked in a hair salon from the age of 15, I quickly realized that I had discovered a new and more effective way to section hair.
Hairpins were my favorite tool!
Conventional hair clips were too big and left an imprint on the hair. But hairpins allowed me to be more precise while sectioning hair and reduced the amount of damage caused, unlike clips, slides ore elastic bands.
My dream is for this simple, easy-to-use tool to be available for all professionals across the hairdressing industry as well as for people at home.

Coiffure Award NL Hall of Fame: After winning Coiffure Award 3 times, Hester is declared Hairdresser of the year for the third time. Admission to the hall of fame automatically precludes further participation in the coiffure awards. Currently there are 7 members in the hall of fame including Hester Wernert-Rijn (since 2017)
